XV. Converting From QuickBooks Pro 99 to QuickBooks Pro 2000

These steps only apply to clients who have been using an earlier version of QuickBooks Pro. You must first have QuickBooks Pro 2000 installed on your computer. Depending on the circumstances and decision of the client, Small Business Solutions, Inc. can convert the file; otherwise, the client may choose to do so. If you choose to convert your data file, the following steps will aid in the conversion process.

  1. Go into QuickBooks Pro 2000® by double-clicking on the icon on your desktop.

  2. If you are prompted with several options of what to do, choose "open an existing company file". If you are at the "There is no company file open", then go to "File" and then choose "Open company".

  3. At the "Open a Company" screen, choose your C drive or the drive where your QuickBooks data file is located.

  4. Many folders should appear. Scroll horizontally or vertically until you find the QuickBooks Data Files folder.
